autumn leaves and other things...

It´s been over a month since my last post but I can assure you I´ve still been searching for ideas. I´ve even begun to buy some of the beautiful things I´ve shown you - I really must calm down though we still have a year to go!

I´m pretty lucky with my partner he´s very easy going and is happy to go along with my ideas, of course I want the wedding to be a reflection of both of us so I run everything by him but we have pretty similar taste so it´s all falling into place. We´ve decided as it will be late September to definitely go with a woodland wedding, a magical, ethereal, whimsical ceremony.

The first thing to show you is something you could easily create for yourself with a trip to the garden or the local park, an alternative to rose petals decorating the aisle, I found these beautiful leaves...

I´m also really hoping this lovebird decoration will be gracing our table I think it´s so beautiful, I´m also going to have a go at making some of my own...

If you also want a to have a go at making your own I´ve sourced some very cute birds at a very good price on ebay...

Another train of thought I´ve been following is with the accessories. Every girl needs a handbag right? I had a think about what kind of bag I envisioned wearing for the celebrations after the ceremony and of course decided I wanted something unique, not your average run of the mill white clutch with diamantes - I´m definitely not a diamante kind of girl. If you´re going with a similar theme to mine have a look at this beautiful range...

...beautiful and unique though they are, a different clutch has won my heart - something completely unique and so romantic - the book clutch...

...I really REALLY love this Alice in Wonderland design and it does go with our whimsical theme, I´m torn though as the designer can do any book of your choice - maybe I´ll go with ´The Notebook´one of my favourite love stories and undoubtedly one of the most romantic stories of our time.

I´ve also been looking at room decor as the place we´re staying on our wedding night isn´t exactly a luxury bridal suite! We were more focused on having everyone together so we´re hiring a large villa split into apartments with beautiful grounds but pretty basic rooms. It´s quite a task to create a romantic ambience there but I´m quite sure I can do it...

I´m not sure I´ll be going quite this far just for the wedding night but I had to show you these petal curtains...

Nothing sets the mood like lighting though, I shall definitely be purchasing candles and fairy lights aplenty - these heart lights are very cute...

Last but not least I also found a very cute cushion to throw on the wedding bed, available in many different colours of course made personal for the two of you...

Hope you liked the ideas, keep visiting the blog there are more to come!

Paz e amor, the bride to be x
